"SORTING BOX UPON BOX "

Thanx To Donna Of D's Design's For This Lovely Graphic.

WELL ONCE AGAIN IV'E BEEN BUSY BEE-ING SORTING BOX UPON BOX.

THAT I STILL HADN'T EMPTIED  FROM WHEN I MOVED I SEEM TO STILL HAVE LOTS.

I CAME UPON EIGHT CHINA PLATES IN ONE BOX WHEN I BOUGHT THEM I THOUGHT THEY WERE SWEET..

I'D FORGOTTON ABOUT THIS SET OF PLATES THERE CALLED  "CHILDREN OF THE WEEK ".

I KNOW MOST OF YOU WILL HAVE HEARD THIS VERSE BUT JUST BEFORE I START .

I THOUGHT I WOULD PLACE IT HERE FOR ALL THOSE WHO DON'T KNOW IT OFF BY HEART.

Monday's child is fair of face,

Tuesday's child is full of grace,

Wednesday's child is full of woe,

Thursday's child has far to go,

Friday's child is loving and giving,

Saturday's child works hard for a living,

And the child that is born on the Sabbath day,

Is happy and blyth and good and gay.

I HAVE HAD THESE PLATES FOR MANY YEARS AND QUITE AN AMOUNT THEY COST.

TO BE TRUTHFUL I HAD FORGOTTON ABOUT THEM AND PROBABLY THOUGHT THEY WERE LOST.

AS THIS HAS HAPPENED TO MANY AN ITEM WHEN I HAVE MOVED ON MY WAY.

OVER THE YEARS TO DIFFERANT HOMES SO I THINK THAT I'LL NOW DISPLAY.

THEM OUTSIDE MY DOOR IN THE HALLWAY AS THERES A NICE LONG WALL OUT THERE.

THEN WHEN VISITORS AND MY NEIGHBOURS SEE THEM THEY CAN STOP AND STARE.

AT ALL THESE BONNY LITTLE CHILDREN PLATESHUNG UP EACH ONE ON A HOOK.

I BET THEY BEGIN TO WONDER THEN  WHAT DAY THEY WERE BORN WHEN THEY LOOK.

I DON'T THINK MANY PEOPLE KNOW WHAT DAY AS THOSE WHO I'VE ASKED COULDN'T TELL.

ME WHAT DAY THEY WERE BORN ON AND SOME DIDN'T KNOW THE VERSE WELL.

I MYSELF WAS BORN ON A WEDNESDAY SO FOR ME THE WORDS ARE FAIRLY TRUE.

I HAVE TO ADMIT I SHED TEARS MOST DAYS BUT NOT ALWAYS OVER BEING BLUE.

SOMETIMES I CRY AT SOMETHING SAD I HAVE SEEN ALONG MY WAY.

OR IT MIGHT BE SOMETHING THATS TOUCHED MY HEART WHEN I GET UP ANOTHER DAY.

I CRY WHEN I'M HAPPY OVER CERTAIN THINGS AND THIS  MAY SOUND STRANGE TO YOU.

BUT  I CRY WHEN PEOPLE ARE KIND TO ME AND I CRY THROUGHOUT J/LAND TOO ......

I HAVE CRIED IF I'VE NOT DONE SOMETHING JUST RIGHT ON A PROJECT I'M WORKING ON.

AND IV'E CRIED WHEN I HAVE BEEN FEELING DOWN OVER BAD NEWS THAT COMES  ALONG.

FROM  FRIENDS OR RELATIONS OR NEIGHBOURS AS WELL SO YES MAYBE THERE IS SOME TRUTH.

IN THE VERSE OF THE CHILDRENS DAILY PLATES BUT I DO NOT HAVE ANY PROOF.

SO IV'E CLEANED THEM TILL THEY SPARKLE AND NOW I'LL GO MARK THE WALL.

WITH A PENCIL WHERE TO HANG THEM AND THERES ANOTHER I DIDN'T MENTION AT ALL.

IT'S THE LAST ONE I BOUGHT TO COMPLETE THE COLLECTION AND THIS I JUST HAD TO GET.

IT IS CALLED " LETS ALL COME TOGETHER"  THIS ONE COMPLETES THE SET.

ALL SEVEN CHILDREN ARE ON THIS PLATE YOU CAN SEE THEM GATHERED AROUND.

THESE PLATES OPENED  LOTS OF MEMORIES FOR ME  SO I'M HAPPY THAT I HAVE FOUND.

WELL IF LIKE ME YOUR A WEDNESDAY CHILD DO YOU SEEM TO SHED LOTS OF TEARS.

YET I'M ALSO KNOWN AS LAUGHING KATH AND I STILL DO TRY TO BRING CHEER.

I HOPE YOU LIKE THE PICTURES IV'E PLACED FOR YOU ALL TO HAVE A GOOD LOOK.

I'LL LEAVE YOU NOW MY J/LAND FRIENDS GET MY HAMMER AND GO POP THEM UP.

BUT DONT BE ALARMED IF ALL NEXT WEEK YOU DON'T HEAR MUCH NEWS FROM  ME.

AS YOU'LL KNOW I FELL OFF THE STEPLADDERS AND MY PLATES ARE GONNERS  HE-HE !!!

I AM CERTAIN  WHEN I HAVE PICKED MYSELF UP AFTER ALMOST SHOWING BOTH CHEEKS.

IF ANYONE ASKS WHAT DAY I WAS BORN I'LL END UP NOT KNOWING  WHICH WEEK  HE-HE!!

SO IF YOU KNOW WHAT DAY YOU WERE BORN CHECK WHAT IT SAYS ON EACH LINE.

AND LET  ME KNOW IF YOU THINK YOUR DAYS CORRECT HERE IN

                           "MY SIMPLE RHYME".

* I FOUND THIS LINK AFTERWARDS.BELOW:-
SHOULD ANYONE WISH  TO FIND OUT THE
 DAY THEY WERE BORN ON.*.

I was born on a crips, fall Saturday evening with a football game going on earlier that afternoon, per my mother who could hear the cheers.  Some day I'll look up who won that game:)  Hmmm, I have worked hard at life sometimes.  I suppose that fits.

Kath, I had wondered where you had gotten to with your lovely rhymes!  Now I know, you were busy with your head in a box!!!  I have long loved this rhyme about the days of the week we are born on and found it to be quite fascinating.  I was born on a Saturday, and it is true, I have always had to work quite hard for everything I have, just to get by.  No lottery wins for me!  (Not yet anyways, am not giving up! tee hee)  Wonderful poem and graphics as always!  You have done it yet again you amazing woman!
love,
Marie

Saturday for me. Hmmm...I have had (in the past) many years of working too many hours in a week. Very glad to be a "stay at home mom" now.
Putting your plates in the hall for all to enjoy is a great idea. Isn't it amazing the things we find when going through The Boxes! --Cin
