"WAITING FOR DAD"

       "WAITING FOR DAD"

ABOUT THIS TINY BLINKIE I JUST HAD TO WRITE A RHYME.

IT BROUGHT ME  MANY MEMORIES OF A BYGONE TIME.

EARLY IN MY MARRIAGE WHEN I HAD JUST ONE SON.

HERE HE IS UP ABOVE IN HIS CAR AGED ONE.

EACH AND EVERY TEA TIME  I'D WATCH THE CLOCK TICK BY.

THEN  OVER TO THE WINDOW TO SEE IF I COULD SPY.

MY HUBBY COMING HOME AGAIN WHEN  WORKING DAY WAS THROUGH.

MY FIRST BORN SON WOULD ALSO BE "WAITING FOR DAD"  TOO.

THEN SUDDENLY HE'D GET HIS CAR AND WANT TO GO OUTSIDE.

HE KNEW HIS DADDY WOULD PLAY WITH HIM AND TAKE HIM FOR A RIDE.

FOND THOUGHTS AND MEMORIES FROM A BLINKIE OFF THE NET.

IVE HAD SOME PRETTY GOOD ONES BUT THIS IS MY FAVOURITE YET.

IV'E ALSO ADDED THE OTHER THREE, WHO DID THE SAME WHEN SMALL.

THEY LOOKED THROUGH THE WINDOW TOO THERE FACES SAY IT ALL.

after my day of baking as in the blinkie above.

WE WOULD SHOW HIM THE CAKES, HOT ON A PLATE WE'D BAKED FOR HIM with love.

I WONDER HOW MANY MORE OF YOU COULD TELL A STORY thats true.

FROM A LITTLE BLINKIE youv'e recieved thats been PASSED ON TO YOU.

EVERYTIME I'M SENT ONE I SEEM TO GO BACK IN TIME.

AND MY MIND SEEMS TO JUST CROP UP.

!!!!!!!!!!! WITH ANOTHER simple RHYME  !!!!!!!!!!

That was a wonderful poem and the photo of your son in the car is magnificent.     I had tried to enter your journal month's ago and got a 'journal has gone private' message.     Also I have not been on the computer much all summer as my time was spent on my home construction.    On July 23 was when my back experienced sharp pain and has been worsened since.     My diagnosis on MRI shows that my spine is narrowing at L4-5 from arthritis and is putting pressure on the spinal column and is classified as 'severe'.      I am going to get my laundry done this morning and hope to do some light work this afternoon.    Then when I can no longer take the pain I lay down on my board/cushion and read which I enjoy tremendously.      I am telling people in J-land that I am slow to getting around to the journals.    I appreciate your visiting my journal and leaving such a thoughtful and encouraging comment.     Best wishes,     mark
