I DON'T KNOW ABOUT WHERE YOU LIVE FOLKS BUT HERE IT IS RAIN RAIN RAIN.
EVERY MORNING THIS WEEK IV'E LOOKED OUT STILL MORE RAIN AGAIN.
IV'E BEEN HOPING THAT PEOPLE DON'T GET FLOODED LIKE EARLIER ON THIS YEAR.
UP AND DOWN THE COUNTRY THERE ARE LOTS LIVING WITH THIS FEAR.
MY BASKETS OF PANSIES ARE GETTING SOAKED THEY WERE LOVELY THIS TIME LAST WEEK.
I POPPED DOWN THIS MORNING TO CHECK ON THEM AND TOOK A LITTLE PEEK.

WON'T IT BE LOVELY WHEN SPRING ARRIVES AND THE LIGHT NIGHTS ARE HERE ONCE MORE.
MAYBE A LITTLE WARMER AND BRIGHTER SO WE CAN OPEN OUR DOOR.
WE WILL ALL HAVE IDEAS IN OUR HEADS FOR THE PLANTING OUR PLOTS IN SUMMER AHEAD.
WHEN ALL THE SPRING COLOUR HAS DIED DOWN AND EVERYTHING ELSE IS DEAD.
OH HOW I MISS BEING OUTDOORS BUT I'LL MAKE PLENTY WORK OF MY POTS.
DON'T WORRY I'LL FILL THEM WITH ALSORTS WHEN THE SUMMER BEGINS TO GET HOT.
JUST WHAT TO PLANT THIS YEAR I AM WONDERING I FANCY A LITTLE CHANGE.
SO I AM GOING TO LOOK ONLINE THIS WEEK AT ALL THE EXTENSIVE RANGE.
THERE ARE SO MANY LOVELY FLOWERS THAT BLOOM DURING THE SUMMER MONTHS.
I COULD BUY EVERYTHING WHEN I START I'M AFRAID I HAVE NEVER DONE.
I DECIDED ALSO WHEN I GO WALKS TO SNAP SOME GARDENS I PASS.
AROUND MY AREA IF OWNERS ALLOW ME IF THERE OUT CUTTING THERE GRASS..
I LIKE TO VISIT OTHER GARDENS AND SEE WHAT THERE PLANS ARE TOO.
SO IF I SUCCEED THEN WATCH OUT J/LAND I WILL BE SHOWING YOU.
LOTS OF DIFFERANT GARDENS IN MY JOURNAL THIS SUMMER I'M SURE.
SHRUBS AND TREES AND ANNUALS AND PERENIALS BULBS AND MORE.
I'M NOT SUCH A BRILLIANT PHOTOGRAPHER BUT I'LL TRY AS HARD AS I CAN.
ALSO I'LL GIVE THE OPPORTUNITY TOO TO MY ROOSTER MAN.
MAYBE HE WILL BE BETTER THAN ME AT TAKING PICTURES WHO KNOWS.
OF WONDERFUL PLANTS AND FLOWERS GROWING ALL IN THERE PRETTY ROWS.
THE FRESH AIR OUT WALKING DOES ME GOOD AND MAKES ME SLEEP BETTER TOO.
JUST LIKE THIS GRAPHIC BELOW OF DONNA'S I'VE INSERTED HERE FOR YOU.
TO SLEEP IN UNTIL TEN IN THE MORNING IS MOST UNUSUAL FOR ME .
IT'S WITH BROWSING UNTIL THE EARLY HOURS LOOKING FOR ALSORTS HE-HE
IT'S SUPRIZING WHAT YOU CAN COME ACROSS I FOUND A GOOD SITE WHAT A LAUGH .
I TYPED IN THE VILLAGE WHERE I USED TO LIVE BEFORE I CAME DOWN THIS PATH.
IT BROUGHT UP THINGS THAT HAPPENENED THERE IN DIFFERANT YEARS AND SO
I WAS READING WHAT PEOPLE HAD WROTE ABOUT WHICH HAPPENED LONG AGO.
YOU WANT TO TRY IT MY FRIENDS IT'S FUNNY JUST TYPE IN THE NAME OF YOUR TOWN.
TYPE THE WORD KNOWHERE BEFORE YOUR TOWN IT WILL NOT GIVE YOU A FROWN.
WELL I READ SOME REALY FUNNY THINGS AND I KNEW PEOPLE THERE AS WELL.
THERE IS SO MUCH TO FIND THERE PEOPLE ARE LOOKING FOR OTHER PEOPLE WHO.
USED TO LIVE IN THAT AREA SOMEONE MIGHT BE LOOKING FOR YOU.
SO GO AHEAD AND TRY IT MY FRIENDS TYPE IN GOOGLE EXAMPLE HERE:-
KNOWHERE ANYTOWN AND YOUR PLACE WILL POP UP AND APPEAR.
ON MY SITE I ACTUALY READ OF SOMEONE WHO MENTIONED ONE OF MY SONS.
THEY USED TO PLAY WITH YEARS AGO WHEN THEY WERE KIDS HAVING FUN.
SO I SENT THE LINK TO MY SON THAT NIGHT AND WHAT A LAUGH HE HAD TOO.
LOTS OF INFORMATION ABOUT LOCALS AND KIDS WHAT THEY USED TO DO.
I ALSO SPOTTED A LADY'S MESSAGE WHO WENT TO SCHOOL WITH MY SIS.
I ANSWERED AND TOLD HER WHAT I COULD THEN WROTE AND TOLD MY BIG SIS.
NOW THEY ARE BOTH IN TOUCH AGAIN NOT SEEN ONE ANOTHERS FOR YEARS.
SO I BET WHEN THEY HAVE THERE RE-UNION THERE MIGHT BE A FEW MORE TEARS.
WHEN OUR KIDS PLAYED OUT IN THE EVENINGS OF COURSE IT WAS SAFE BACK IN THEM YEARS.
PARENTS COULD LET THERE CHILDREN PLAY OUT WITHOUT HAVING ANY FEARS.
THATS WHY I HAVN'T BEEN GETTING UP AS NORMAL AT THE CRACK OF DAWN. HE-HE.
IT'S BEEN A LITTLE BIT LATER THAN THAT WITH GOING TO BED EARLY MORN.
IT BROUGHT BACK SUCH HAPPY MEMORIES OF TIMES GONE BY TO ME.
AND ALL BECAUSE I TYPED THE WORD KNOWHERE WHEN I WAS GOOGLING HE-HE.
THEY MENTIONED PLACES WE USED TO GO TO LIKE CINEMA'S DANCE HALLS AND SUCH.
PUBS AND CLUBS AND INSTITUTES AND NUMBERS TO GET IN TOUCH.
I DON'T KNOW IF YOU'VE HEARD OF KNOWHERE BUT I ENJOYED IT WAS FUN.
I WAS SO SUPRIZED WHAT ALL THESE KIDS GOT UP TO AND WHAT THEY HAD DONE .
ONE GIRL WAS LOOKING FOR HER FATHER NO SIGHT OF HIM SINCE A GIRL.
SHE PUT OUT A MESSAGE WITH HIS NAME THERE AND MY HEART IT DID A TWIRL.
I KNEW HER FATHER WELL MY FRIENDS HE WAS BEST MAN FOR A NEIGHBOUR OF MINE .
SO I SENT HER A MESSAGE TO LET HER KNOW HER FATHER WAS DOING FINE.
I TOLD HER WHERE I LAST KNEW HE WAS SO I HOPE SHE FINDS HIM WELL.
THERE WAS LOTS OF THINGS ON THERE FRIENDS FAR TOO MANY TO TELL.
I HAVE LIVED IN ONE OR TWO PLACES SO I'M TYPING ANOTHER VILLAGE NEXT TIME.
SO I THOUGHT I WOULD GIVE IT A MENTION TO YOU HERE IN " MY SIMPLE RHYME".
Thanx to Donna for this lovely graphic below.
LAZY ME HE-HE -HE

The internet has provided many sources of information for me and I quite love it. I had the pleasure of meeting up with an old school friend last year via email. Id not seen her in many years. She and her husband have now retired and it was good catching up on the news. Your pansies look delightful even though they are water logged. We can not grow anything in the winter as all is frozen and won't be able to until May sometime. Your rhyme today was like a breath of Spring. Nice to think of gardens for sure. 'On Ya' - ma
You pansies are doing very well I only have two heads out in my two tubs but I am hoping for more soon. Love Joan.
Snowed again last night, so woke to a sea of white.
Nice to see your "spring" entry, made me feel warm. :)
Hugs,
Sugar
Oh, interesting site I'll have to check out! I'd LOVE to sleep in until 10:) We'd hoped the snow today would come earlier, and heavier, to delay school (or, even more joy -- close it!), but alas, it's falling now. It's still beautiful, and we do need it. Have a great day.
Your pansies look nice, mine are as dead as they can be! We have had dreary weather for the most part too - bring on spring!!! I am ready to start my planting so I'll have pretty flowers.
Lisa
Kath I always enjoy your "Simple Rhymes" and loved todays entry ~ your pansies look good even though they are a bit wet ~ Roll on Spring nice light nights and hopefully a little bit warmer ~ Ally x
I can't wait to see your garden pics this spring! And, now I am off to try the google!
be well,

Hi Kath, Yesterday was lovely and sunny and just look at today, dark, damp and miserable. We were very lucky not to have any rain until late afternoon despite the forecast. I do feel for those poor people who live in the flood plains, they still arn`t back in there homes after last years devastation. Yesterday afternoon I trimmed my winter pansies and they should look lovely once the weather cheers up again. I have several pots of Tete a Tete daffs that are coming through and lots of the tulips are showing in the garden itself. I just hope they will survive the frosts that I`m sure we`ll get before Winter`s finished with us.
Love Sandra xxxx
Hope you don't get flood problems either. It's been raining here too, but no problems in our area. I keep searching, as I take my walks, for the first traces of green among the ground that has been brown for too long. And I keep my eyes open for that first burst of Spring colors: blue, pink, yellow, red. Everybody in this area loves flowers so before long I'll see lots of them. and all kinds of birds too. How lovely it would be to get in touch with former friends, in particular my first love, who was also my best friend. Will have to look him up one day. But for now I am too busy staying afloat. Have lots to do so must get with it. It's good to see a post from you, Kath. Big hugs. May today be the first of many beautiful ones , days that become some of your favorite memories.
Love you.

Yes Kath, Rain and more rain. We have flooding again in parts of Sheffield, but not in my area. I go on a 'Forum' for Sheffielder's, and find all sorts of 'News', and like you say people looking for others etc.
Like you, I'm often online in the early hours.
I walked to the Dr's and back, in the Rain this morning....40mins each way, but had a doze in the afternoon ;>)

Russ

Rain is yucky but at least you still have pansies. Ours are totally frozen solid. Nothing grows past the beginning of December. I'm off to google my old hometown. Sounds like so much fun. Have a good Friday! Love xx Chris
I'll have to try that with my hometown Kath! I wonder what will pop up. I'm getting quite tired of the wind and the rain. It does get on the nerves after a time! I feel so sorry for those who have been yet again affected by flooding! We are lucky here on the estate as we are quite high up. It will be good to see the sun again, when and if!!! Your garden plans sound lovely. We have mostly perennials in ours. MY favourite flowers are pansies and sweet peas. I love them so much and absolutely have to have them. I like petunias as well!
love,
Marie

KATH, I TYPED IN THE NAME OF THE LITTLE TOWN IN EASTERN OKLAHOMA WHERE SPENT THE FOUR YEARS, TWELVE SENIORS, 1937.
SUCH AN EMBELLISHMENT THAT WAS GIVEN THE TOWN. IF A STRANGER STOPPED THERE, WOULD PROBABLY ASK SOME INNOCENT BYSTANDER, WHERE IS THIS LOCUST GROVE OKLAHOMA ?
IT REALLY IS A BEAUTIFUL AREA, FOOTHILLS OF THE OZARK MOUNTAINS. LOTS OF CHEROKEE INDIANS, MANY OF WHICH WERE MY CLASSMATES, SOME IN OTHER GRADES.
MANY GOOD MEMORIES OF THE HIGH SCHOOL DAYS. MOST OF THE ONES NEAR MY AGE HAVE PASSED ON, HOPEFULLY TO BE IN COMPANY WITH OUR LORD.
ABOUT AOL, I BELIEVE THEY ARE TRYING TO DO GOOD, I'M WILLING TO GIVE THEM CREDIT EVEN THOUGH IT IS FRUSTRATING TO LOSE SOME WORK NOW AND THEN.
I AM DOING BETTER WITH COMPUTER SINCE YOU HELPED ME TO CLEAN UP cache AND OTHER. I JUST DID'NT STUDY THE INSTRUCTION BOOK ENOUGH.
BEST WISHES TO YOU KATH. sam
The Pansies look wonderful, even rain soaked hon! Makes me long for Spring when I can put my own garden in. (Hugs) Indigo
